Are there any instances where the electrons do not cancel out? Where we are given a reaction with an excess of electrons on either the reactant or product side (not in terms of half reactions)?

Uses ln or log in Nernst Equation

This question is fairly broad but are there situations when using the Nernst equation with the natural log is necessary intead of log base 10? Or is it up to our discretion when each is used?

When calculating the uncertainty of the position by manipulating the Heisenberg equation, why is the velocity (+ or - 1.00 m/s) doubled in the division step?

Is it because of the +/- symbol?
