For #6 on Quiz 2 Preparation on page 40, the answer is B and I cannot figure out why. Diagonal Relationships
How exactly do diagonal relationships form and why aren't there more than the few pairs (Be and Al, Li and Mg) listed in the book? Wouldn't the trend continue down the group where Na would have a diagonal relationship to Ca as well since Li and Mg were paired?

On page 8, the book states that a black body "does not favor one wavelength over another in the sense of absorbing a particular wavelength preferentially or emitting one preferentially." Can you explain what this means?
