Re: products in rate law equation
I'm pretty sure that if the course reader does not cover it, then we are not expected to know other than what Lavelle mentions in class. Therefore, since the course reader does say that only reactants will be covered in an an attempt to make the rate laws much simpler, then I believe we need not wor...

Re: Enthalpy
I believe Kelvin is the ideal temperature to be used throughout this problem, although if information and a formula is specified in Celsius, then you most certainly can maintain the units in Celsius. Whichever you use, I believe I've heard my TA say that the key thing is to be consistent throughout ...

Re: Unit Question [ENDORSED]
If you end up getting L*atm as the units for your final answer, then I believe you are using the correct units for both the Volume and Pressure since volume is expressed in atm and volume in L. However, work is recorded as Joueles, meaning a conversion of units will be required after you obtain the ...

Re: Bond Enthalpy versus standard Enthalpies of formation
I believe the textbook problems do specifically state which method to use, in which the manner that each problem is presented in also seems to lend itself to using a certain method. However, if I do remember correctly, Lavelle did mention that sometimes a problem has some sort of freedom in terms of...
