Kinetics vs. Thermodynamics
How do you know whether a reaction is under thermodynamic or kinetic control? for thermodynamic is it based on stability of the products? and for kinetics is it based on the rate of product formation? How does temperature affect them?

An ambident nucleophile is a molecule that can act as a nucleophile attacking from two or more different sides. For example, SCN− (thiocyanate) can act as a nucleophile with either the S or the N attacking.

and as you go down a column, nucleophilicity increases.

1. Free elements are have oxidation number of 0 (ex: H2, O2, F2, Br2, I2, Cl2 mentioned in the first reply) 2. For ions, it is the charge 3. Oxygen is -2 and Hydrogen is +1 4. For neutral compound, the sum is 0 so you can apply the rules listed above and solve for the oxidation number of the element...

For comparing molar entropies between gases:
Check which one has greater mass (the greater the mass of the molecules, the closer together are the energy levels)
or
Larger and more complex molecules have higher molar entropies than smaller/simpler ones

If I can't multiple anything to make the decimal number a full number, is it fine to just round?
Ex: Would 15.287 be fine as 15? Or would that be inaccurate?
