How do we name a compound with vinyl as a substituent. Would we not just treat that as a part of the parent chain of an Alkene?

What is Zero Order
I understand how to use the equations for zero order and how to derive them but I can't quite grasp the conceptual meaning of a Zero Order Reaction. If someone could describe it that would help out a lot.

How do phase changes affect the heat capacity? Is there a pattern to find one from the other or are they all different calculated values?

Re: Chemistry Jokes
Einstein, Newton and Pascal are playing a rousing game of hide and seek. Einstein begins to count to ten. Pascal runs and hides. Newton draws a one meter by one meter square in the ground in front of Einstein then stands in the middle of it. Einstein reaches ten, uncovers his eyes, and exclaims “New...

Re: Choosing the Best Lewis Structure
If I have a structure with a lone pair such as Chlorine Monoxide, ClO, how do I decide where the lone pair is supposed to go? Does the more electronegative of the two get the octet?
Thanks

Re: HW 1.57 Balmer series
Why are there different series; Lyman, Balmer Paschen? I read this section, but I did not understand why there wasn't only one since they all describe spectral lines measured from the Hydrogen atom.

Re: Which compound is more ionic?
Is it possible for a compound to be "more ionic" than another, or is it just that some ionic bonds are stronger than others?
