The alternate form would be using the pOH and the pKb instead of the pH and pKa.

If you draw out the lewis structure for BF3, you will get the Boron in the center with the three Fluorine's coming off of it. All of the Fluorine's have a full valance electron shell but the Boron only has the three Fluorines coming off of it, and therefore only has 6 electrons in its outer shell. T...

Equilibrium Composition

On page 125 of our course reader the example problem, it says .150 mole of NH3 is formed but the concentration of N2 is decreased by half that amount. The constants are 1N2+ 3H2=2NH3 so I know the numbers had to be adjusted for the molar ratios but I am still a little unsure how.

If you bond N with O you get N=O with four electrons on the O and three on the N. The electrons are not completely balanced so what shape would it make? It's not quite linear but it's also not quite anything else.
