Charges on Amines

Is there supposed to be a charge on amines? Because wouldn't a tertiary amine have one more bond the the first three types?

Which way do we draw the chair conformation facing that makes it the most stable? Or does the orientation not matter, as well as which corner we start numbering from?

Would the name be;1-(1-methylpropyl)cyclobutane or 1-methylpropylcyclobutane?

Basically, is it implied that the substituent would be on the first carbon?

Closed and Isolated?

Still slightly confused on how to classify something as classify something as a closed or isolated system when given an example.

(I know closed is allowing transfer of energy but not matter while an isolated system allows neither)

Does the shorthand notation of glavanic/voltaic cells have a rule about the order of which anode/cathode? (like between phase changes, not between anodes and cathodes in itself)

What do you do with the sick chemist?

If you can't Helium, and if you can't Curium, then you might as well Barium!

Are all isolated systems, adiabatic (only adiabatic boundary sectors)? Because I thought that there's such thing as an adiabatic isolated system but adiabatic can have energy transferred as work?

Units

Why does specific heat capacity use kJ and molar heat capacity use J? I know you can easy get kJ/J by multiplying/dividing by 1000 so it's almost interchangeable but one is obviously preferred over the other in terms of units.

Equilibrium sign or not [ENDORSED]

When using a strong acid, I know an arrow to the right can be used to show 100% dissociation (like HCL) but is this only the case for strong acids?

Would we be incorrect for using an equilibrium sign instead?

Naming confusion on homework problem

For #34.c in the homework problems; the formula for tetraamminediaquacobalt(lll)bromide is [Co(NH3)4(H20)2]Br3.

Why is it "Br3"?

Also, if we were to write OH2 instead of H20, would we be marked down? I've seen it written both ways.

Molecular Shape with Two Central Atoms

I know how to get the molecular shape of a compound with one central atom, but how do we do that if there are two central atoms. Like in the course reader (87), cis-dichloroethene, I understand that it is polar because the dipoles do not cancel, but given that, how do I determine the shape?
