Re: Units
you can basically change the KJ to joules like you said. you just have to make sure that your units cancel out in the end to end up with the desired units. it also depends on the other variables you are given, if you are given the heat capacity in kj then use kj if you are given the values in joules...

Re: Carbon and Oxygen- Electron Affinity
carbon has more electron Affinity since its p orbital only has 2 electrons so it is not even half full.therefore , it wants to grab electrons. it is an exception to the rule since the trend increase as you go up the group to the right across the period. you also have to keep in mind that for O and n...

KeV is a unit used in measuring energy (energy in electron volts) or put simply another way measuring energy just as we use lbs or kgs to measure weight or miles or kilometers to measure distance Here are some of the conversion factors: Kilo means it is 1000ev =1KeV 140.511keV=140511 eV 1eV=1.602176...

Ok so to start off we have to find out how much grams of KNO3 are in the sample of 510 g The first step is to to get 5.45 from a percentage to a decimal so we divide it by 100 and it becomes .0545. Then we multiply .0545 by the 510 g to get how much grams of KNO3 were in this aqueous solution which ...

Re: Electrons and Light
In the photoelectric effect experiment it wasn’t really a UV/metal interaction but rather a photon electron relationship. So I will try to explain the experiment and maybe you will understand it a little better. So the objective of the Photoelectric experiment was to see what type of wave is require...

Re: Electron Emission of Light
If I am understanding this right the electron does not stop in the process of returning to its ground state but rather it just drop straight back releasing the same original amount of energy needed to excite the electron.( I think this is because an electron in n1 that is excited to n2 would have to...
