2015 Winter Final Question 3C

"The volume of the lung before inhalation is 2.5L as there is always some air inside the lung. What is the air volume after inhalation at 37.0 celsius?"

Why do we add the 2.5L to .705L (the volume after expansion)?

The first appears to be a second order when one of the reactants in the rate equation is present in great excess over the other in the reaction and thus stays constant throughout the reaction. So the pseudo rate law is used,with the rate of the substance with the varying amount.

In this problem we are given 2H2+O2->2H20. When calculating the Gibbs free energy of the equation, why does the solution omit H2 and O2 when adding up Gibbs from products- reactants?

In this problem, they use Benzene and want us to calculate bond enthalpies for the non resonance and resonance structures. My question is where do you get the resonance stabilized values?
