Is there an error in the solutions for this problem because isn't the enthalpy of formation for K2S(aq) -471.5kJ/mol instead of -417.5kJ/mol?

reason for omitting 8.55

Are we omitting problem 8.55 because the O2 does not cancel out and there still remains (1/2) O2(g)?

Sig figs and thermodynamics

Just a clarification: you always have to consider significant figures for the final answer, correct?

When you add 20.0ml (.020L) of .100M HNO3 to the initial buffer (acetic acid with .100M and 100.ml or .100L) what is the ph change? So first you find the concentration of HNO3 and then than of acetic acid but I got confused in the solution how come they add 1.00x1^-2 to the new mol of acetic acid. W...

Re: Equilibrium constant and p

For some homework problems like 11.3, the solutions include p in the answer but for other homework problems like 11.9 it doesn't. Is there a way that Dr. Lavelle wants us to do on the quiz and final?
