Residual Entropy Comparisons

First of all what exactly does residual entropy mean, and how can you compare the entropy of two different molecules? In one of the finals there was a question that asked to compare the residual entropy of NO and BF3, how come NO has more?

Relation of delta G to multistep Ea

When a reaction has a profile similar to the example in the textbook where the reaction is a 2 step process with the first step including bond breaking and the second step involving bond making, why is it there still activation energy required for bond making? Doesn't it release energy instead?

Going off of this, how is Rate=k[A][B] derived from the Rate=-1/a d[A]/dt and is that beyond the scope of this class? I don't really understand the link between the equations

When doing problems that state that a reaction is reversible, how does the factor that it's isothermal factor in? How would the equation differ if it was isochoric or isobaric?

Going off of this, what exactly is Schrodinger's equation doing in relation to the derivative and energy? Is it also important to know? Or do we simply focus on the wave function?
