I think in 14B we have only really used ideal gasses in problems, so it's safe to assume it is an ideal gas, even if it only says gas.

To further answer your question, when delta G is positive it is not spontaneous, when it is negative it is spontaneous.When Delta S total is positive the process is spontaneous, and when it is negative it is not spontaneous.

I think generally iso and neo are for alkyl groups and sec and tert are used for carbon atoms which have functional groups

I thought the rule was that if there is a partial negative or full negative, no matter what it is a nucleophile. For an electrophile, if there is a partial positive or full positive it is always an electrophile. Is this correct?

For this question, it may have been important to discuss the gas, not just the amount of substances. Specifically, because there is gas on the reactant side but no gas on the product side, the entropy is decreased.

You use the same equations for both. The difference is that deltaG0 is with standard conditions whereas deltaG is with nonstandard conditions.

Just to clarify, for electron domain geometry should we count the lone pairs as bonds, for example, would AX2E2 be tetrahedral, or should we not include the lone pairs at all when looking at electron geometry and AX2E2 should be considered linear?
