Re: Final Exam points

Following up on on the mention about the points for posting on Chemistry Community, does anyone know if posting twice one week could replace the point of another week of not posting? I wasn't able to post last week bc I didn't have Wi-Fi at home and my phone wasn't working. thanks in advance!

Pre-Equilibrium Approach

Hey all! Can someone explain to me how I am supposed to know when to use this approach? I understand that the main aspect hinting towards using it is when the intermediate is being used up initially, but how do we assume that? Is it mentioned in the question? Thanks in advance.

Re: Balancing redox reactions

Can someone explain to me the reason why we balance reactions under basic conditions differently than when balancing reactions under acidic conditions?

Re: Calorimeters: HW Problem 8.25 [ENDORSED]

In respect to the topic of calorimeters, homework problem 25 discusses a scenario that I can't seem to wrap my mind around. I understand the basic formula I need to apply, but could somebody explain to me why we use it as shown in the solutions manual and solve for the change in the internal energy ...
