How does Reaction Mechanism in more detail?

Hello! Could anyone explain to me on pg 84 of the Course Reader on how the reaction mechanism works and how to approach them? Thank you so much for your help!

I thought enzymes weren't going to be tested since it was after 15.10, bur question #9 asks us about enzymes. So do we still answer question #9?

Re: The Units of k (rate constant) for second order

It is going to be that since the initial rate is measured in M/S while the [A]^2 is in M^2. So as a result, k has to be 1/(M)(s).

Standard Cell Potential [ENDORSED]

Hello! For Question 8 for Midterm 2013 pg. 135, the question is about knowing how to read the cell notation. I know how to solve this, but the question doesn't give us the "given standard cell potential." So on a question like a cell notation, will we be given an initial standard cell pote...

Oxidation/Reduction Method

Hello! I had two questions for the oxidation/reduction method: 1. When we take account the oxidation/reduction method, how do we know when to use both the acidic and basic method? 2. Do we have to know all the charges for every element besides the elements in Group 1A, Group 2A, and Group 8A since t...

Work is negative when it's "done by the system" and not "done by its surroundings."

Quiz #1 Preparation #12

Hello! I was wandering for quiz preparation quiz 12 on page 116 that are we supposed to use the following equation? delta G= delta H - T(Delta S). If yes, do we add all up the given delta H and subtract with the given Temperature times the sum of delta S. **Sorry I can't post chart, but the question...

Don't understand bond enthalpy

Hello classmates! I'm very confused on how and when bond enthalpy is used. In addition, I was confused on the example that Dr. Lavelle gave us in our lecture. If anyone can clarify it for me, it will be grateful.
