Re: staggered vs eclipsed stability
I understand that a 180 staggered molecule is most stable, but does that mean it has the lowest energy conformation?

Re: Naming [ENDORSED]
When naming should we always include if a compound is cis/trans, or will a question specifically ask us for that information?

Re: Entropy
Why is it that when looking at the formula for entropy, S=q/T, when T increases, S should decrease but in actuality when a substance is heated, the entropy increases because the atoms are moving at a faster rate and creating more chaos?

I think it's be best to sign up for AAP sessions before week 3 starts. To sign up for AAP you can go to your myUCLA and under the 'Academics' tab you can find peer learning which is where can find several tutoring sessions. If you aren't sure if you meet the requirements for AAP you can visit Campbe...

For the ICE table do we to always have to use the quadratic equation? Or can we approximate any time the K is less than 10^-3?

Re: How to determine which orbital has less energy when drawing an MO Energy Diagram
One of my TA's also told me that another way of determining which orbital is less energy, is by asking yourself which element has a higher Z value. The higher the Z value, the lower in energy it'll be.

I need clarification on naming ligands; so it doesn't matter whether we use the new IUPAC Conventions to name ligands correct? Because the textbook problems use the new conventions.
