Quick technical question. On Pg 108 of the OChem textbook it discusses the relative energy difference between the eclipsed and anti-conformation of butane being -120 kj/mol. the 2 pairs of C-H bonds accounts for +4 kj/mol. The textbook briefly explains it, but I was wondering if someone could clarify exactly why a glass electrode is better than a hydrogen electrode in terms of measuring pH. How does it measure ph linearly?

Just to confirm, in the example on page 29 regarding Gibb's Free Energy asks for which temperature is the reaction spontaneous.
Since at T>333 K the forward process is favored, the reaction is spontaneous at any temperature greater than 333 K?
