Multiple double or triple bonds
If a cycloalkene or alkyne or a normal Alkene or alkyne has multiple double or triple bonds, in the naming do you put a prefix indicating how many double or triple bonds there are? Such as 1,4- dialkene, or just 1,4- alkene?

Hw question 8.57
Is it possible to use standard enthalpies of formation instead of Hess' Law? I did standard enthaplies of formation and got 312. The answer is -312, I can't figure out where the negative comes from.

I think you can use mmol in an ice chart as long as the volume is in ml. At the end when you convert to molarity and divide the mmol by ml the mili will cancel out and you'll be left with just mol/L which is molarity.

I think of the pKa like the pH of the acidic constant.
Like in pH=-log[H30+] is the pH of H30+,
PKa= -log[ Ka] is the pH of the Ka constant kind of.
The pKa can be used to test the strength of the acid. The lower the pKa is, the stronger the acid will be and vise versa.

On the hw question 57 it asks you to draw the molecular orbital diagram for NO+ then asks will the electrons have a higher probability of being at N or O and why? I understand how to draw the diagram but not sure about the second part of the question
