I have the same question! But i addition, would we also have to know how carboxylic acids are produced? or anything having to do with the molecular weight as well?
Thank you.

Re: quiz 3
hi :) So i believe that on the left side of your equation that you set up, because you have two concentrations on top and one on bottom, you get units of M^2/M, which simplifies to M. On the right side of your equation you have kforward/ M-1 s-1. If you multiply that over to your M, the M's cancel o...

Re: Organic Chemistry book
So the O-chem text book typically comes when you buy the course reader at the Course Reader Materials place in Westwood. If you didn't happen to buy it there, you might want to go and ask how much it costs on its own. Together with the course reader it came out to be around $60.

Re: Cell Diagram Orders
I know that for cell diagrams, the elements from the anode are on the left and the elements from the cathode are on the right. But amongst those anode and cathode sections, what is the order? Are the reactants on the left and the products on the right? I saw examples in the text book that indicated ...

Re: stability and spontaneity
If delta G is negative, that means Gibbs free energy is being released (so we are going from a higher energy state to a lower energy state, which is always optimal).

Re: Temp in Phase Change
Because that heat is being used to break the intermolecular bonds which then causes the phase changes (for example: with water, from solid to liquid, the heat is breaking up the bonds between the H20 molecules that were compacted, making the molecules shift around more, which causes the eventual cha...
