How are you supposed to know whether the salts pH is above or below 7 by just knowing the compound?
ex)
a. NH4Br
pH is below 7

Paramagnetism
How are we supposed to tell when something is paramagnetic or diamagnetic? Do we have to write out bond order and electron configuration to find out?

Acidic Salts
In the course reader it says that acidic salts lower pH and that Cl- does not so would an acidic salt like anilinium chloride still lower pH or no because it has Cl?

you don't have to do MO necessarily, i think if you draw the lewis structure it should work the same to calculate bond order
