Yes, we are required to know the common names that are in the course reader. They are interchangeable but we are expected to be able to identify them

If you are referring to the rate constant, k, the units can be M^(-1)*, s^(-1), or L/(mol*s)

The lecture that day ended a few minutes early for lecture 1, so the bruin cast is just under 45 minutes. when the moles is equal to 1, it won't affect the equation at all so the moles doesn't matter.

Entropy is the probability that a system will be in a particular state, and degeneracy is the number of ways of achieving a given energy state. The Boltzmann equation describes the relationship:
S=Kb lnW
S=entropy
W=degeneracy
Kb= boltzmann constant
