Why is it that sometimes the name is benzene (2.43 (d) in green course reader) while other times the same cyclohexene is called phenol (2.41 in green course reader)?

Can someone explain why, that in question 2.43 (e) in the green course reader, that the methoxy in the beginning of the name has a 4 position. Would it not be 5? Thanks

Can someone please explain why on #5 the answer has 2NH3 on the product side? When I did the question and canceled everything, I divided 2NH3 by 2 so that it would be the same as in the target equation N2H4 + H2 = NH3. This gave me an enthalpy of -105.1kJ/mol, instead of -151 kJ/mol. Thanks For thi...

Does anyone know how to do question 8.9 in the textbook? I've tried everything when it comes to changing units but nothing has yielded the correct answer. I'm using the delta U equals delta H minus P times delta V equation. Please let me know if im doing something wrong. Thanks!

VSEPR is a way for one to determine the shape and the way that certain atoms bond to each other and their angles. MOT is a way to describe the valence electrons of those atoms who are bonded to each other.
