Naming questions will ask for the name and we will accept both common and IUPAC.

Good question and I still have little clarity after asking this question myself. However, the answer I have received is that we will just be given that information and will have to draw/ label a reaction profile.

Re: Winter 2013 Midterm
You can convert it to Kelvin, but this is calculating the change in temperature. So the change in temperature is the same in C or K. Hope this helps.

For this question the amount of moles is not given. Why does the calculation in the solutions manual say 1.00 mol? Is it because we are doing the calculation with a gas that exhibits "ideal gas" behavior?

If there are no measured values in the question, do we assume to round to the nearest hundredth? For example, in Chapter 9 problem 21 part b, it says to calculate the entropy of a solid nanostructure made of 64 molecules in which the molecules lie in any one of four orientations with the same energy...

What did the scientist say when he found 2 isotopes of helium? Hehe
A chemist was reading a book on helium. He couldn’t put it down.
Old chemists never die, they just stop reacting.

Re: Homework Problem 8.41
For this type of question when we are finding heat, does the amount stay in grams or does it need to be converted to moles?
I have seen q=nCT calculated using both grams and moles for the "n" term and am curious to know when to use which unit.
Thank you for your help.

Q: What kind of fish is made out of 2 Sodium atoms?
A: 2 Na
“Bunsen! My flame! <3 I melt whenever I see you!” Said the ice.
The bunsen burner replied: “It’s just a phase you’re going through.”
P.S. I don't know why I was not allowed to access Chemistry Community this weekend.

Is this the right place for me to post my questions for Chem 14B Winter 2017? 2. Is there any indication that the professor or TA has seen my post/ question? 3. How can I add d...
