Drawing Line Structures of Cyclohexanes
When drawing line structures, how do we know if we have to draw the boat or chair conformation as opposed to drawing a "standard" symmetrical cyclohexane (like a rounded one)?

will there ever be an instance on the quiz where we will have to name a structure using both the IUPAC and common methods simultaneously? there are a few examples of this on page 9 of the ochem book.
