You need to make sure that each element is balanced first, and then balance the charges afterwards. If all elements are balanced then you only need to add electrons.

If a reaction has a positive (delta)H, it is endothermic, meaning it requires heat. If it has a negative (delta)H, it is exothermic, meaning it releases heat.

After you draw the Lewis structure, you can determine the molecule's shape in 3 dimensions (VSEPR) and as a result, it's polarity. A molecule is polar if a net dipole moment exists.

Your example would only have 3 sig figs. In order for that number to have 3 significant zeros, it would have to be written as 5.6000*10^4. Hopefully this helped.

I think you are right. Because you are given 3 sig figs in the question, there should be 3 in the answer. I think there might be a typo in the workbook.
