Catalysts are always okay to have in the rate law b/c they are originally present and then reformed but intermediates are not as they are formed and then gone.

I think that this would be something we are tested on, meaning an alkene or alkyne and another functional group in the parent chain.

If the alkene is part of the longest parent chain, it is thought of as a functional group part of that chain, meaning that it must be prioritized in naming. This is is different from a substituent which is attached separately somewhere along the parent chain.

This is saying that we don't know the specific structure of compounds with more than 4 carbon atoms due to the existence of constitutional isomers b/c of different unbranched/branched structures.

The oxidizing number is shown by the charge of each molecule involved in the reaction. For example: the charge of O is -2. Then, you look at which molecule has been reduced (gained electrons) and which has been oxidized (lost electrons) on the product side.

This is because Delta S Subscript M is given per mole so you must always divide by the number of moles of the substance to get it to be per 1 mole. :)

I believe that we will be given all of the values for standard enthalpy of formation and specific heat capacity for a problem presented on quizzes/tests. I don't think we are required to memorize any of these values.

Changing the amount of heat energy usually causes a temperature change. However, during the phase change, the temperature stays the same even though the heat energy changes. As the question states, this equation from the experimentally observed H-atom line spectrum, so it is empirical since it is based on observation rather than simply theory.

The second dissociation results in 5.6 x 10^-11 mol/L which we add to 4.0 x 10^-5 and end up with 4.0x 10^-5 mol/L because 5.6 x 10^-11 mol/L is so small in relation that makes it have no significance when the addition is done.

If there is already a prefix in the name of the ligand (for example, ethylenediamine) and you have 2 or more of that in your coordination compound, you would use bis, tris, etc. to indicate that.

From my understanding, an element with a bond order of 0 cannot exist but those with fractional values exist and are not stable.

Another disadvantage could be the lack of 3 dimensional modeling. The specific shape of the molecule is not made known by the Lewis Structure.
