If Ka was included in the problem, I'm pretty sure it would be considered a weak acid. I do recall Lavelle saying that we only need to know the 6 or 7 strong acids from the list as being strong, and that the other acids not on the list are weak.

I'd say that units are required in any scientific problem, especially if they are included. Also, keeping track of units throughout the process of solving a problems makes it easier to see where and why units cancel.
