They're different because pressure and volume can affect the kinetic motion of molecules differently, (higher pressure means molecules can't move as fast so typically needs more heat to get the molecules moving so the heat capacity is higher). It might be on the quiz so I would study it to be sure.

I believe the course reader is very useful because it includes all of Lavelle's slides for notes so that you can pay more attention to what he's saying, and the course reader typically has practice exams and quizzes which could be useful for studying for tests.

Well photons don't have momentum because they don't have mass. Like you said, momentum is mass x velocity and since photons have no mass, they have no momentum.
