Naming: Chains vs. rings

When naming organic compounds that have rings in the molecule, do we name based off the longest carbon chain or do we base it off the ring?

Re: Ideal Gas Law

We can find various stuff by using the ideal gas law. For example if we hold Pressure constant, and the moles constant we know that Volume and Temperature are going to be changing. It allows us to picture an ideal condition in which a gas would react.

Re: Units of Reaction Enthalpies

When the question specifies, that it is per mole you would use KJ/mol. Also in addition to that by definition the standard enthalpy of formation is KJ/mol.

Coordination Compounds And Complexes [ENDORSED]

Hi there, so I was reviewing my notes and the textbook but I can't seem to grasp the difference between a coordination compound and complex. I know that a coordination compound is electrically neutral and that it has at least a=one complex present, but then why are coordination compounds and complex...

Your bowling ball of mass 4.02kg rolls down a lane with a speed of 2.35+/- 0.1 m.s^-1. What is the minimum indeterminacy of its position? Can you blame the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle when your ball misses the pins?
