For the electrophilic addition reaction of HBr and propene to produce 2-bromopropane, why can we assume that the reaction is exergonic and show the products as more stable than the reactants in the potential energy diagram?

How do you know when to use the half arrows when representing a nucleophilic attack? In the Chapter four practice problems, for the halogens being broken off a Carbon bond (4.24), we've been using the full arrows, why is that?

Relation between enthalpy and internal energy
Why are enthalpy and change of internal equal to one another when no gas is generated or consume in a reaction or system? With no expansion work are the volume and pressure both constant?
