This might be a stupid question but how do you know when to use K and when to use Q? Will the question always state either at equilibrium or what?

When writing out the orbitals in class it was shown 1s^2, 2s^2, 2px1, 2py1 ......
On the test should it be written like that or is it acceptable to write 1s^2, 2s^2, 2p^2

If you converted lets say milliliters into Liters in order to solve a problem and then left the answer in Liters will you get marked down? Should you always convert it back to the original unit?
