The difference is that homogenous catalysts are catalysts that are in the same phase as the reactants (solid catalyst-solid reactant) and heterogeneous catalysts are catalysts that are in different phase (solid catalyst-gas reactant). There's information on catalysts on page 76 of the course reader....

I don't think so. The course reader also states that the products should also be removed continuously to keep the product concentration low so that it doesn't affect rate equation. Hope this helps!

I think bond enthalpy is the amount of energy required to break one mole of a bond, where as Enthalpy of formation is the change in enthalpy when n moles of a substance in its standard state is formed from its elements in standard state.

When mixing a solid and a liquid in a calorimeter, do we use the sum of the masses when calculating (mass x sp heat cap. x temp. change) ?
