When do ΔStotal and ΔU equal 0? Also, I know you can use ΔStotal=Ssys+Ssurr, but if ΔStotal isn't 0, will it be given?

That's a combination of two equations equal to ΔG. ΔG=-RTlnK and ΔG=-nFE. They're rearranged and set equal to each other in that problem

Some other good things to know about oxidation numbers is that O is almost always a -2 charge when it's with other elements in a compound like SeO 4 2- .
