Not particularly related to the final itself, but for future reference - will we still have access to Chemistry Community after this quarter ends?

Re: Cyclohexene and double bonds
It does matter, especially in terms of naming, because it could be 2 Methyl cyclohexene, or 3 Methyl cyclohexene, etc... These are very different molecules in terms of specificity and recognition by other molecules (like enzymes), and should be treated as such. The naming convention is that if ther...

Re: Quiz 2 Winter 2017
Is there a reason why number six's answer has three significant figures despite the given concentration 0.35M having two significant figures? Do we not bother with sig figs when ln is involved? I think the rule with logarithms and, by extension, natural logs, is to count out the number of sig figs ...

Re: Midterm Winter 2017
On Midterm 2013 Question 7, we seem to assume (after balancing the redox equation) that the number of moles we're dealing with is 10. Is that number taken off of the reduction half-equation, where we end up with 10 moles of bromide ions? Does this always apply (i.e. we always deal with the number of...

55000 = 275(4.814)(deltaT)
Never mind. I was using the wrong value for the heat capacity of water.

I think you just plug it into the first one because you have the 0 subscript on all the givens, so you'd be solving for delta G0.
