In reference to page 112 of the course reader:
The a,a-trans-1, 4- dimethylcyclohexane is less stable than e,e trans-1, 4- dimethylcyclohexane, but is a,e cis-trans-1, 4- dimethylcyclohexane more stable than the a,a trans isomer seeing as there is only one axial interaction occurring instead of two?
