On the double bond, if the two groups are on the same side of the bond then it is a cis isomer and if the two groups are not in the same side of the bond then it is a trans isomer.

We do write each substituent in alphabetical order first and then do the number order when naming the structures.

What you can do is first draw out the lewis dot structure of AlCl3. As you can see the molecule is neutral and has no lone pairs which makes it not a nucleophile. Also is missing 2 atoms in the aluminum to make a stable octlet which makes it try to gain electrons in order to become stable.

N stands for the number of moles given(transferred in a reaction). N would usually be given to you, I believe.

Gas expands when delta U is equal to zero because of the increase of entropy. The increase of entropy happens due to a spontaneous reaction between the gas atoms.
