What kind of question would we be asked in regards to the "Pre-Equilibrium Approach"? Also, what is the purpose of this approach, and how do we know when to use it?

The course reader, on page 22 says, "since all of thermodynamics is the study of changes in energy for a system at equilibrium..." should we assume that any thermo problem we do will be at equilibrium? If so, is it thermodynamic or chemical equilibrium?

They are like small, guided study groups. There is a short explanation by the plf but its mostly guided problem solving

Look for tutoring with some of the academic frats! Also, I'm sure you can just ask some upperclassmen and I'm sure they would be happy to tutor for a relatively low price.

Dr. Lavelle, Thank you so much for an incredible winter quarter. It was so much easier to understand chemistry this quarter and I found myself more focused and motivated to learn. I never enjoyed going to class, but your calm demeanor makes difficult chemistry less daunting and far more approachable...

Cis and Trans
When dealing with cis and trans, does it refer to any substituents? Or must the substituents be identical? If they are not the same, do the same rules apply as with E and Z (the higher atomic # having priority)?
