Creating Cell Diagrams

Question on Finalizing a Cell Diagram: After balancing the half reactions and forming the balanced equation for a skeletal equation do we carry over the coefficients from the balanced cell reaction into the final cell diagram? Or do we write the cell diagram with the moles of the original species in...

Re: Quiz 1 Preparation Answers

Can someone please explain why on #5 the answer has 2NH3 on the product side? When I did the question and canceled everything, I divided 2NH3 by 2 so that it would be the same as in the target equation N2H4 + H2 = NH3. This gave me an enthalpy of -105.1kJ/mol, instead of -151 kJ/mol. Thanks I belie...

Re: Quiz 1 Preparation Answers (#11)

How many grams of water can be heated from 25.0 degrees Celsius to 100 degrees Celsius by the heat released from converting 49.7g of PbO to Pb?

The converting reaction is: PbO(s) + C(s) --> Pb(s) + CO(g) deltaH = -106.9kJ

How do I go about setting up this problem in order to solve it?
