Organic Reaction Profiles Gibbs Free Energy of Activation

If we are asked to draw the reaction profile with Gibbs Free Energy on the y-axis, is the Gibbs Free Energy of Activation for a second transition state, if there is one, drawn with respect to reactants or intermediates?

Activated complex for question 103

Isn't an activated complex suppose to show the bonds breaking and forming in a transition state? For question 103 (a), is says the activated complex for CH3CHO\rightarrow CH3+CHO [/code] should be written as [CH3.......CHO] but shouldn't it be [H3C.......CHO] since the C-C bond is breaking? Or are b...

Chapter 15, Question 103

Vision depends on the protein rhodospin, which absorbs light in the retina of the eye in a reaction in which one form, metarhodospin I, is converted to another, metarhodospin II. The half-life of this reaction in cattle eyes is 600 micro seconds at 37 C but is 1s at 0 C, whereas in frog eyes the sam...

Cell Diagram in Winter Final Exam 2016

2Ag+Br2\rightarrow 2AgBr[/tex] Can someone explain why the cell diagram in the answer key omits aqueous Br- on the anode side of the cell diagram? The cell diagram reads: Ag(s)/AgBr(s)//Br-(aq)/Br2(g)/Pt(s) Br- is not a spectator ion since it forms a precipitate with Ag right? Why is it omitted? Win...
