I am currently enrolled in Lecture 1, Lab 1H for BL (Wednesday lecture. Thursday 11-1:50 lab). Is anyone in Lecture 1 or 2 with Lab 1/2A, 1/2B, or 1/2D willing and able to switch? You would be a life saver.

OH- is used to balance H and O when the reaction is basic. H+ is used to balance H when the reaction is acidic.

Professor Lavelle said that the first quiz will only be covering through 10/5 (Wednesday's) lecture. I'm just looking for confirmation that this means the quiz will only include up through orbitals, but not as in depth as we discussed them 10/7 (Friday's) lecture. Correct?

I was always told to not round off any numbers until the very end. This could be especially important considering the small numbers discussed in chemistry. So my suggestion would be, when in doubt, work through the problem without condensing any of the numbers and then apply sig figs to your answer....
