Can someone explain to me what k' actually is and when we would use it? Is it simply the rate constant for a reverse reaction?

Graphing Reactions [ENDORSED]
Would we be given graphs on the quiz and be asked to determine the order? Or be given the order and be asked to graph??

Re: Proving equations
My TA said there most likely will not be derivations on the quiz! Plus, on the sheet you are given with the quiz I believe it will show the derivation/integral and derived equation.

Why are the products H2O and CO2? Why wouldn't C2H2, C2H6, and H2 be the products when finding the equations?

Re: Hess' Law [ENDORSED]
In high school my chem teachers taught me to look at the final equation first and underline the reactants and box the products, then go to the equations given in the question and do the same that way you could see what really needs to go where. In terms of balancing, that shouldn't affect your entha...

Calculating work
Air in a bicycle pump is compressed by pushing in the handle. If the inner diameter of the pump is 3.0 cm and the pump is depressed 20. cm (2.0 cm??) with a pressure of 2.00 atm, how much work is done in the compression? The answer comes out to 28 J, but I'm not sure how to get that! Thanks in advan...

I'm not 100% sure but just to be safe I think you should write the ligands in the order you wrote them in your equation.

I posted this question on Friday, but haven't been able to find it anywhere on chemistry community (not even in the "My Posts" section) so I'm not sure if it got taken off or if it just didn't go through... Anyways, I was hoping there was some way to find out what the class averages were f...

Skipping Problems on Quiz 2 Prep?
Hi guys. I've seen (in multiple places) that we are supposed to be skipping some of the problems on the quiz 2 prep because we haven't covered the topics yet. Can someone give me the exact problems we are supposed to skip? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I need to! Thanks!

Re: Rusty on High School Chem [ENDORSED]
I took two years of chemistry in high school and I'm still pretty rusty! I found that office hours are by far the most helpful because you can ask anything you want! It helps that there are so many office hours too so that we can find some time in our busy college-life schedules to attend!
