If you look at Toolbox 17.1 on page 741, steps 4 and 5 list the first few prefixes and mono isn't there, so I would say we won't really ever use it.

I'm not sure if this has to do with the Shrodinger Equation, but I remember Dr. Lavelle briefly touching on this in class. What does °A mean again?
