Why does the MO diagram for p shells change starting form the element oxygen? For B, C, and N, the bonds form starting with pi bonds with the lowest energy and then moving up to the sigma bond. Starting from oxygen and beyond, however, it returns to the more familiar phenomenon of forming sigma bond...

Shape of S2O3 2-

Why is the S2O3 2- molecule a tetrahedral shape? In the case of atoms with the same number of valence electrons, will it always be the atom with the lowest ionization energy that's at the center of the molecule?
