Re: Neo- vs. Tert-

for iso- it's similar to neo- but think of it as only ONE methyl group apart from the continuous chain connected at -chch3

Re: Strategies for studying for the final

Make use of the textbook examples! I used the problems to guide me step by step in doing the problems and worked them until I understood each step. If you have time, read the appropriate sections for each topic and then look at the course reader to summarize what you just read. Reading the topics is...

The way to think of neo is that there are 2 methyl groups apart from the main chain at CH3C-

Homework 15.19 c & d

For this problem for part c, the answer in the back of the book says 2.85 x 10^12. I'm getting only 2.85 and I'm not sure where the 10^12 comes from. Also for d, the method of solving would just be plugging the appropriate numbers into rate=[A][B^2][C^2], correct?

Re: °A meaning [ENDORSED]

I believe you mean Å? If so, this is an Angstrom which is used as a unit of measurement for the wavelength of light, it's 10^-10 meter or 0.1 nanometer!

Re: Rusty on High School Chem [ENDORSED]

I haven't had chem since my sophomore year of high school. My teacher wasn't the best but if you still have contact with them - they are a big help if you require review. The modules are also very helpful and as mention Khan Academy is very helpful, but Crash Course on Youtube is also good for simpl...
