Re: Periodic Table information for final [ENDORSED]
For Q4D, it asks for the ground-state electron configuration for Pb2+. I see that it isn't in the d-block but it's configuration included an element that contained the f orbital. Actually can you explain how to get the ground-state electron configuration for Pb2+?

Periodic Table information for final [ENDORSED]
For the final, do we only need to know the s block, p block, and first row of the d block, or is there more that we need to know? Because the midterm included elements that weren't in the first row of the d block but the course reader says that we only need to know the first row of the d block.

Re: Chemistry Community Post Points
I noticed that if you post under the same topic more than once (for example, if you posted under the Chemistry Jokes topic for more than one week), then it doesn't show your individual post, it just shows the topic you posted under. How will we get our individual points for our individual posts unde...

I am still a bit confused on significant figures, even after reading the explanation in the course reader. Are we supposed to only round our final answer? Are we not supposed to round at every step of a calculation before the final answer, because the solutions in the solutions manual have the value...

Re: Are the coordination numbers just inside of brackets? [ENDORSED]
@Hector_Gutierrez the coordination number for [Fe(ox)(CO)2(NH3)]H2O would seem to be 5 because NH3 has one bond, there are two bonds for CO and the ox also has two bonds, but I'm not too sure because I know that there are usually just 4 or 6 bonds.

Two chemists go into a restaurant.
The first one says "I think I'll have an H2O."
The second one says "I think I'll have an H2O too" -- and he died.

To get the credit complete quiz 1, quiz 2, and quiz 3 for only those three quizzes that do not have answers, and hand in your workbook to your TA on the day you take the quiz. Or you could just read the instructions in the front of your workbook ... The instructions didn't say anything about having...
