Why did the bear dissolve in the water?
Its a polar bear! Polar bears are white bears. Polar compounds dissolve in water because water is a polar molecule (like dissolves like), while nonpolar compounds do not.

When you solve for wavelength and use dimensional analysis, you should end up with meters. I think most wavelengths are measured in nm by the electromagnetic spectrum so if you want to compare your answer to other wavelengths converting it is probably the best way to go!
