During a phase change, the objective is to break the bonds from phase to phase so the energy of the temperature added is used to break those bonds rather actually change the temperature until the phase change is over.

From my understanding if I'm correct.... Delta u is 0 in an isolated system in which there is no temperature change. That means the system is isothermal, the temperature is constant and delta u is equal to 0. Therefore q=-w or vice versa -q=w. Hope thats makes sense and is helpful.

The constant he uses in the course reader and the constant and equation sheet he gave us is the 3.289x10^15/3.29x10^15. I'm not sure why the other equation was used for the specific question...

Everything I've heard about the quizzes are they are very fast paced, but the workbook is the best way to prepare yourself for the actual quiz itself. Can we get help on workbooks with the TAs and the UAs?
