Re: When to Determine Chair Conformation

It will normally be stated in the question, otherwise, all forms of confirmation will be given credits.

Re: Enthalpy

Tl;dr: Latent heat.

When you vaporize liquid water to gaseous water, they can both stay at 100 C but the gaseous water has more enthalpy because of its form. So there can be heat flow(which is change in enthalpy) although there is no temperature change.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think n always stands for number of moles right?

Re: Reduction and Oxidation [ENDORSED]

Easy way for me to remember is "LEO says GER." The lion's name is Leo and it says GER.

LEO - Losing Electron Oxidization
GER - Gain Electron Reduction

Chrome does not support Sliver Light, so you would have to use safari.

Conservation of Energy Question

In a completely closed (no energy transfer with outside at all) system, a bomb is placed in it. We weigh the system as a whole and, let's say, it is 300 grams. Will the weight of the system remain the same if the bomb explodes in this closed system? Since mass is a form of energy (E=mc 2 ) and heat ...

How does the points associated with the online forum work?

New to Dr. Laurence Lavelle's class. In the syllabus, there are 10 points attributed to the weekly online discussion. How do you get them? Is there a guideline on that? Thanks

Re: Phase change

One more thing to add, the word latent heat also refers to the change of the state of the matter without any change to temperature. So, if that word appears, it is dealing with phase change.
