On (b) its asks to "Calculate the internal energy change, deltaU, for the reaction of 1.00 mol CO(g)...
When finding "q" I thought the answer would be in kJ, but the solution proceeds to make it kJ/mol....why?

There are four lone pairs of electrons. 2 on the oxygen, and 1 for each Nitrogen. You can google "Lewis Structure of urea" and get a clear picture.

What I have found over the few weeks drawing Lewis structures, I start noticing patterns on how each element "prefers" to bond. The best way to be sure (which can be tedious at times) is to write out the formal charges. My typical steps: Count electrons->bond everything->fill in common pat...

I'm not quite sure if molecular diagrams will be tested on this midterm...someone tell me if they are but I don't think so.
