Different ways to calculate this
I know the formula to calculate molarity, but I often usually write it as M = m/V, fill in my values, then depending on where my x is, I solve from there. A lot of the examples re arrange the formula before plugging in values due to where their x is, that way its simplier. Is my way going to be seen as wrong? Do I have to pre account for where the x is so I can be writing the "correct formula?"

If your approach gives the correct answer, then use it.
In class I go through problems and often say there are different ways to solve it.

I prefer how you solve for the unknown value in the equation because it makes fewer modifications to the equation so that mistakes can be avoided. However, when you calculate something that relates two molarities to calculate a certain volume or moles, you might want to rearrange your equation into m1/V1=m2/V2 to calculate the x in the equation better.

I was wondering this too. I have been getting the correct answers, but also rearranging the formulas to help me solve in a way that is effective for me. I would say though, it is likely better to learn to use the formulas properly, since it may be easier to go back a see where something went wrong. Using the formula as intended would also probably make it easier to get help on a problem, since it's the universal way.

Hi!
As long as you get the correct answer in the end, I think you should be fine!
