### Question on Problem E.1 in textbook

"Suppose you were able to string together 1.00 mol Ag atoms. each of radius 144pm, into one of these fibers by encapsulating them in carbon nanotubes. How long would the fiber extend?"

In the solution manual the radius, 144pm, is multiplied by two to find the diameter of the atom which is 288pm. Wouldn't it be better if the circumference of the atom was found instead of the diameter?

You would need to find the diameter of the atoms instead of the circumference because the question is asking for the length of the stringed atoms, which is found by adding the diameters, and not the circumference of all the atoms.
